презентуем преимущество в первом предложении параграфа + развиваем эту идею вглубь в 2-3 supporting sentences

Шаг 3: Body Paragraph 2

презентуем недостаток в первом предложении параграфа + развиваем эту идею вглубь в 2-3 supporting sentences

Шаг 4: Conclusion

дублируем мнение в заключении (если требуется в задании) + суммируем преимущество и недостаток

ВАЖНО: если в задании спрашивают, что перевешивает, сторону, которую вы не поддерживаете, ослабляете в последнем предложении соответствующего параграфа.

In some cities, public parks and open spaces are changed into gardens where local residents can grow their own fruit and vegetables. Do you think the benefits outweigh the disadvantages?

Transformation of public parks and open spaces into gardens for growing fruit and vegetables by local citizens may entail considerable expenses. However, I think this financial cost may be more than compensated by people’s significant health improvement brought about by gardening activities.

Repurposing of public parks and open areas into gardens may require additional governmental funding for reconstruction and providing proper conditions for gardening. Many parks in cities have their original natural landscapes, which may be hilly, as well as many open spaces are covered with pavements and are not equipped for gardens’ needs. Such works as developing new landscape design, dismantling of concrete plates and creating proper conditions for growing plants like irrigation systems, for instance, may place a financial strain on cities’ budgets. However, this is a small price to pay for a considerable positive impact that gardens make on people’s health.

I believe a significant advantage of gardening’s positive influence on citizens’ mental and physical well-being outweighs all possible drawbacks. Growing plants requires a lot of physical activity on fresh air such as spudding, watering, collecting crops as well as provides people with daily availability of fresh non-GMO food on their plates, all of which positively contributes to people’s physical condition. Additionally, gardening is considered to be a hobby, which causes a positive effect on people’s psychological well-being as it lightens mood and lowers levels of stress and anxiety. Thus, the more parks and open areas are changed into gardens in cities, the better citizens’ well-being is.

In conclusion, I think that the significant benefits gardens bring to citizens’ physical and mental health outweigh the disadvantage of additional budget required for reconstruction of public parks and open areas along with providing conditions for gardening, as these can be considered as investments in health.
