In some societies, more and more people choose to live on their own. What are the reasons people choose to do it? Is it a positive or negative trend?

The tendency of staying single is becoming increasingly popular among young people these days. This essay states that this trend influences negatively on the social aspects of the modern community. Firstly, the position will be proven by an analysis of fertility decline, caused by unwillingness of young generation to form families, and secondly, this essay will discuss a fear of social and financial responsibility of the modern youth as a main reason for this lifestyle.

One of the evident consequencesof being lonely is a significant decrease of fertilitythat causes reduction of planet inhabitants. In other words, rarelydo young people understand that endless virtual communications in the social networking can not replace traditional values such as family and parenting in the long run. Personal dates, flowers and love letters are about tovanishamong teenagers nowadays, that makes people concentrated on their own without any desire to continue the human race. For example, havingconducted a research among last year students of the Tel Aviv University, scientists have revealed that 5 of 10 students support the idea of staying lonely and realize it in their future life that leads to gradual reductionof the human community.

The principal cause of this trend is the phobiaof responsibility of modern juveniles. To put it differently, beingdependent financially on parents for the long time young people are afraid of taking responsibility for their potencial families and prefer living on their own. Moreover, today’s youth is bombarded withmovies and songs about unhappy love and divorced couples that also decrease confidence in the necessity for family creation. For instanse, according to the social poll 2 of 5 young men in their thirties prefer saving complete independence in all spheres of life, taking into account a probable risk of unlucky marriage.

In conclusion, taking into account all writen above I am firmly convinced that young people choose to stay alone because of the lack of responsibility and monetary independence that undoubtedly has a negative influence on the modern society.
