Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday. Write a letter to your friends. In your letter:

· thank them for the photos and for the holiday

· explain why you didn’t write earlier

· invite them to come and stay with you

Dear Mike and Martha,

Hope you have already got into a normal routine.

I have just looked through the photos you sent and, guys, it felt as if the furlough had started all over again! Thank you so much for bringing back those memories.

Sorry, it’s taken me so long to get in touch with you but at last, I’ve put pen to paper! The truth is, I was snowed under with work and not only at work, but at the house too. While I was away, my neighbors messed up with my ceiling and all those problems that happened at once, drove me into a frenzy! 

Anyway, now that everything is settled, I’m happy to invite you to visit me in your nearest weekend, how about that? I would be on cloud nine if you agree.

I am eagerly waiting for you dropping a line to me!
