[big_title2]IELTS essay 1[/big_title2]
Medical and product safety researches are extensivelyusing the results of animal testing. There is an opinion that suchpractices are cruel and have to be outlawed. This essay entirely agrees with that statement. Firstly, this essay will discuss replacing of this method by computer modelling, and secondly, it will analyze irrelevance of research results caused by subtle nuances unique to humans.
The main reason why experimenting on living creatures should be forbidden is that nowadays there are plenty methods of computer modelling which can replace animal testing. In other words, natural experiments can be efficiently displaced by PC’s simulation, which is able to produce more correct and rapid results. For example, according to “Journal of the royal society of medicine” computer-based patterns obtain the results 20% faster than natural experiments.
Another reason why animal testing has to be prohibited is that there are subtle nuances unique to humansso the results of animal testing could be irrelevant. Thisis because species have plenty dissimilaritiesof respiratory, nervous and other systems which can cause unexpectableconsequences of researches. For example, in 2016 it was reported at “5thAnnual Medicare Expo” that the human brain’s tomography has numerous significant differences with gorilla brains especially in frontal part.
In conclusion, taking into account all written above, I am firmly convinced that experimenting on mammals has to be outlawed. This is due to the fact that computer simulation is able to displace the named method and, moreover, animal testing’s results may be irrelevant due to biomedical dissimilarities of different species. 250
