The technological progress and advancements in communication have enabled people to be free in terms of locations for both living and working. This gives an opportunity to find required working conditions and exposes people to previously unknown cultures, however, there are some drawbacks to be taken into account.

Firstly, one benefit of people being able to travel globally is that they can choose a location that is suitable for their professional requirements. As a result, this facilitates employees to apply their expertise and knowledge regardless of their place of birth. Secondly, being free to relocate is advantageous because people are exposed to foreign cultural heritage. Not only does this exposure enrich travellers’ mentality, but it also fosters tolerance and open-mindedness. For instance, business people who frequently travel are less likely to discriminate against their colleagues on a racial basis.

On the other hand, one problem when people have the freedom to relocate is that it potentially results in brain drain. This is because well-qualified experts tend to leave their native countries in search of conducive working conditions. For example, China is experiencing a substantial loss of highly educated graduates leaving for such wealthier regions as Europe and the US. Another possible issue is that newly immigrated people are likely to encounter assimilation issues. Rarely do immigrants realize the importance of gradual integration into the local community in the long run.

In conclusion, while people can benefit from being unlimited in moving all round the world, it can also lead to shortage of labour force and obstacles caused by assimilating processes.
